Wrote this today on FB, but I'm sharing it here too. It's what's on my mind on this rainy vacation day...

Dear America: "CRT" isn't your problem, it's a symptom of your problem. Your problem is lousy philosophy.

You've lost your MIND. What I mean is, too many individuals in power in the institutions that develop (and reflect) your thinking (reasoning), ethics, and morality have literally lost their minds, and genuinely believe reality (and prosperity) can continue chugging along supporting them in high style even as they tear greedily, and mercilessly, at the fibers that hold that reality together:
declaring reason itself is "whiteness," which must be "decenteted" and "bankrupted"
elevating feeling above knowing and understanding for children (indeed claiming feeling IS understanding, and nothing can truly be "known," like some twisted monster born of an unholy union between Kant and Rousseau)
returning to tribalism and group identity based on metaphysical beliefs, superstitions, myths, and raw hatred
placing the "school" at the center of a child's life, not the nuclear family (indeed, making the family "suspect" and calling on children to report "extremism" to teachers)
un-learning the past, be it history, science (and the scientific method itself, by which we learn everything and produce everything worth knowing), or the moral and ethical teachings of our parents.
revering authority figures in white lab coats and uniforms, and shaming those who won't
*fearing and judging neighbors, especially if they make different choices than you do, from what to do to protect their health, to how they educate their kids, to what car they drive, and of course, how they vote

These people are lost. I'm sorry to say, they're unwell. You can't help them. You might as well consider them members of a dangerous cult that won't rest until you're a member too, or imprisoned (or worse) because you won't join. What you've seen this past year is small potatoes compared to what you'll see this coming year. When schools open? When summer ends, when inflation hits hard? Gird your loins...

The rest of our people are sane, and don't agree with the above. I'd say the majority don't, but what good are we if we are quiet about it or loud the wrong way? If we fixate on the pimple on our chin (CRT) and miss the cancer growing in our brain?!

What to do? Get right with your mind. Spend some time thinking and talking with others about philosophy. Yes, I mean it. Why are you here, what do you think about life and the world and your role in it, and what kind of country supports that. Are you a collectivist or individualist? Do you agree with the founders, or do you want a powerful state looking after you and controlling the rabble when they won't do your bidding, live as you do, think as you do, believe as you do?

Are you looking for revenge, or peace?
Are you hopeful about the future, or nihilistic?
Yes, you need to answer all these questions, and then you'll know what to say and do. Pretending you can "fix" things and put out the fire in the forest by suddenly paying attention to the shape of the leaves on the trees is its own kind of madness.

You can't fix the schools, stop trying, just leave. Yes it will be hard, staying will be harder, for you but more importantly for your kids. They don't know that, so don't ask them. The older they are, the less capable they already are to discern whether they're in trouble there. Be the parent. Do what's best.

You can't hide from evil at work and in your friend groups. Stop trying to keep your head down. Speak out. Refuse DEI "training." Quit if you can, or get busy finding a way to be self supporting: move, reinvent your career, cultivate a network of sane people, downsize and purge the crap in your life (stuff and people)

Find good sources of "news," and do it fast so they get the support they need to compete and defend against a govt eager to shut them down. Locals, Substack, Rofkin, Rumble, to name a few.

If it sounds too loony to be true, it probably is. Do your own homework, but understand the lunatics really ARE running the asylum. Things really Do resemble Mao's China and Hitler's Germany, more subtly than my analogy implies, but they do nonetheless: reporting on friends and neighbors, parents too; demands for masking and vaccine passports to identify those who "stubbornly insist" on their liberty; tearing down cultural artifacts without deliberation, tolerating-even encouraging-rioting and looting by select groups; describing people as groups, using racial essentialism and political ideology to delineate virtue or lack thereof; making Marxism good, MLK's "colorblind" ideal "racist" and evil, etc...

We are running out of time America. If we are to save our republic, we need to stand up and be heard. We the sane, we the LIVING need to speak our MINDS.
