For those who are unaware of what we're doing, we are making a Mockumentary of sorts, where we pretend to be participating in a DEI workshop for parents run by a superintendent of schools and the Diversity officer for the district. We are saying all the quiet parts out loud (which is funny because increasingly, so are the actual schools), and modeling how parents might push back, and call out these people during these sessions. It won't be completely realistic because they rarely allow parents to speak out loud, but the point is to empower parents to speak out in whatever way they can.
Cast Members:
If you were going to work on script changes, please let me know if you can have them done by Wednesday of this week so the full cast can take a look at them prior to the dress rehearsal, and read through everything so we won't be seeing the changes for the first time. If you need any of us to change OUR parts to make your additions work, please comment that in the document and mention us in the comments below too!
