This is a bit late because I recorded it back in JULY, but I hope it will help you understand what motivated me to ACT in a more broad, public way, to raise awareness, and encourage others to act, together, building coalitions and movements, but also individually, in their local communities, by running for school board, or just having the courage to speak up for their own kids in their own schools.

Our schools have been failing for decades, ironically under the control of people who call themselves "progressives." I often wonder if that's the first word they bastardized in the English language: "Progressive" is supposed to mean "progress," which implies "better than the past," and serves as its own justification for the constant push for change, even in the face of challenge by "conservatives" who seek to "conserve" the status quo, or who at least have some limiting principles guiding change ("Changes must not violate individual rights, full stop." ).

The pandemic, or more accurately, the policy responses to it, and the responses of the population of this and every other state to those policies, pushed me to speak out. Censorship of protest, questioning and challenges to those polices, by journalists, "big-tech," and government, scared me, and still scare me enough to devote some part of every single day thinking of ways to fight back.

My skills in this medium are limited, and the learning curve is steep, so please forgive my stumble-trip approach to content creation. I'm hopeful the substance will justify time-spent here, and that my "style" will improve quickly.
