I sure hope not? But better to know how possible (even likely) it is.
Note how no one asks what the definition of "social justice" is, to make sure they all agree on the operational definition! Notice how they don't explain why it's OK to single out a specific race for a WHOLE year course that is REQUIRED (implying the "American History" class covers everyone else, as if that's how we should teach history anyway). Notice also how they lay it all at the feet of the students! "The kids want this, so we have to give it to them."
Oh, you mean the kids you've "infused" with "social justice" goals since Kindergarten? Those kids? The ones who know full well what you value, and what will get them noticed, a good grade, and a feeling of "belonging" instantly? Those kids? The ones who haven't been taught much content, so they don't know anything about the "systems" of oppression you've taught them they need to change (never mind the civilization that hinges on the systems and institutions we have...
